Temporary Stage Door Receptionist
The Role
The primary objective of this position is to provide a first class welcome and a safe and secure environment for visitors, staff and performers.
The position is responsible for:
• Meeting and greeting all visitors, staff and performers;
• Ensuring that signing in, safety and security systems are enforced;
• Distribution of passes, keys etc. as appropriate;
• Assisting in the programming of electronic keys, swipes and passes;
• Dealing with personal and telephone enquiries;
• Distribution of messages, internal and incoming mail for the Centre, resident organisations, facilities management supplier and franchisees
• Accepting deliveries and organising collections of post, parcels and other packages;
• Assisting with emergency procedures;
• Delivering a high standard of customer service to all visitors, staff and performers.
Essential Skills / Abilities
• Ability to deal quickly, efficiently, discreetly and courteously with enquiries;
• Good time management and organisational skills;
• Professional telephone manner along with excellent customer service and communication skills;
• Good accuracy and attention to detail;
• Positive and friendly approach with the confidence to deal with people at all levels;
• Ability to work unsupervised and to deadlines as well as within a team;
• Ability to establish credibility quickly with tact and confidence.
Essential Experience
• Experience of working in both an internal and external customer facing role;
• An understanding of emergency procedures;
• PC literate with good knowledge of Microsoft applications i.e. Word, Excel.
Desirable
• The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh would be particularly advantageous;
• Experience of working in a reception area or similar customer service environment.
